Francine Rivers, Lineage of Grace, Kindle Edition - $5!

Francine Rivers is my absolute favorite author for many reasons.  Her series on the women in Christ's lineage is fabulous!  For a limited time (I'm not sure how limited, so if you're interested, you might want to hurry), you can grab the Kindle edition of her entire Lineage of Grace series (it's a compilation of all five books in one) for only $5 - that's like $1 per book!  I would highly recommend these!  And, remember, you don't have to own a Kindle to read Kindle edition books - simply download the Kindle app on any mobile device or even read it straight from your computer!

Amazon: Francis Chan for FREE

If you're a Francis Chan "fan" or have been wanting to read his works, hurry over to Amazon.com today to grab the Kindle editions of three of his books for FREE.  If you're not sure who Francis Chan is, you should still go grab these while they're FREE, you won't regret it!

The FREE titles include:

Crazy Love: Overwhelmed by a Relentless God
"It's crazy, if you think about it. The God of the universe—the Creator of nitrogen and pine needles, galaxies and E-minor—loves us with a radical, unconditional, self-sacrificing love. And what is our typical response? We go to church, sing songs, and try not to cuss.

Whether you've verbalized it yet or not, we all know something's wrong.

Does something deep inside your heart long to break free from the status quo? Are you hungry for an authentic faith that addresses the problems of our world with tangible, even radical, solutions? God is calling you to a passionate love relationships with Himself. Because the answer to religious complacency isn't working harder at a list of do's and don'ts—it's falling in love with God. And once you encounter His love, as Francis describes it, you will never be the same. Because when you're wildly in love with someone, it changes everything."

Forgotten God: Reversing our Tragic Neglect of the Holy Spirit
"In the name of the Father, the Son, and ... the Holy Spirit. We pray in the name of all three, but how often do we live with an awareness of only the first two? As Jesus ascended into heaven, He promised to send the Holy Spirit—the Helper—so that we could be true and living witnesses for Christ. Unfortunately, today's church has admired the gift but neglected to open it.

Breakthrough author Francis Chan rips away paper and bows to get at the true source of the church's power—the Holy Spirit. Chan contends that we've ignored the Spirit for far too long, and we are reaping the disastrous results. Thorough scriptural support and compelling narrative form Chan's invitation to stop and remember the One we've forgotten, the Spirit of the living God."

Erasing Hell: What God Said About Eternity, and the Things We've Made Up
"How could a loving God send people to hell? Will people have a chance after they die to believe in Jesus and go to heaven?
With a humble respect for God's Word, Francis Chan and Preston Sprinkle address the deepest questions you have about eternal destiny. They've asked the same questions. Like you, sometimes they just don't want to believe in hell. But as they write, "We cannot afford to be wrong on this issue."
This is not a book about who is saying what. It's a book about what God says. It's not a book about impersonal theological issues. It's a book about people who God loves. It's not a book about arguments, doctrine, or being right. It's a book about the character of God.
Erasing Hell will immerse you in the truth of Scripture as, together with the authors, you find not only the truth but the courage to live it out."

Amazon: FREE Matthew Henry Commentary

I have mentioned before the wide array of FREE offerings found in Amazon's Kindle Store and today I have a gem I am SO stoked to mention to you!  Matthew Henry's Concise Commentary on the Bible - I use quite often in my personal Bible study but always have to head to biblestudytools.com in order to find this commentary.  But no more!  Now it's right there on my iPad - no internet required!  And now you can have it on your phone, e-reader or tablet device.  Just head here!

PS The two one-star reviews mention the difficulty in navigation.  However, these reviews were written over three years ago and these issues HAVE been fixed.  I tested this before posting and found the Table of Contents very interactive and easy to navigate!

Aveeno Baby: 30% off at Amazon!

Our daughter has eczema and, thus, awfully sensitive skin.  We tend to stick to Aveeno products, as recommended by her doctor, due to their fragrance free, hypoallergenic qualities (these are both very hard to find in baby products).  Thus, when I saw this great deal on Aveeno Baby, I had to jump.  Right now, on Amazon, you can save 30% on select Aveeno Baby products.  Choose the item you want and you'll save 15% by selecting the "Subscribe & Save" option - this will also earn you FREE shipping.  You can cancel your subscription at any time, so you don't have to continually order what you don't want to!  To save an additional 15%, use the code BABYAVNO at checkout.

I got a 2-pack of Aveeno Baby Continual Protection Sunscreen (SPF-55) - which is waterproof and fragrance-free - virtually impossible to find in sunscreen! - for only $12.89.  That's $6.45 each - considering this retails for nearly $9 per bottle and sunscreen isn't optional, I'm happy with that!

Find your favorite Aveeno Baby products here!

This deal is valid through June 30, 2011.

(Remember, if you're a Swagbucks member you can use your Amazon gift cards, or if you've been taking surveys through Opinion Outpost, you could cash in and have your code e-mailed to you within minutes!)

Amazon: Download FREE Books

I just learned the above book, Leota's Garden by Francine Rivers is being offered for FREE in Amazon's Kindle Store (if you don't own a Kindle, see below for other options!). This is my absolute favorite author.  I love everything she writes (including this book).  If you've never read anything by her or have simply not read this particular work, please do yourself a favor and go grab this!

Amazon frequently offers new releases, classics and best-sellers for FREE from their Kindle store.  And you don't have to have a kindle to read them.  You can download their FREE program "Kindle for your PC" to read their books directly on your computer.  They have similar programs for your Mac, iPhone, iPad, Android or Blackberry.  I'll admit, I'm a little addicted to this site and may or may not frequently download more books than I'll ever have time to read.

To check out the best-sellers in their FREE books, visit here.  Or, I recently posted of a website that offers to e-mail you when new FREE books are added to the store.  If you're interested in this service, subscribe here.

Viewpoints: $10 Amazon Gift Card

Viewpoints is once again offering a $10 gift card for members who write 10 qualifying reviews between February 14 and February 23.  Now, it's only been two weeks since their previous promotion ended and the rules specify they have 30 days to get the cards out, so I still haven't gotten that one - which means if you haven't received yours, don't worry and don't think it's not worth it!  Typically their promotions don't run this close together, so this is actually exciting to be able to get started earning another card so soon!  Woohoo!  Want details?  Check them out here.  All I can say is, if you've read these posts before but never did anything with them, now is your chance!  Get going on those reviews!

Viewpoints: $11 Amazon Gift Card

Viewpoints is at it again!  In honor of 2011, you can earn an $11 Amazon gift card for writing 11 reviews before January 31, 2011.

If you haven't taken part in one of these promotions before, what are you waiting for?  It's so easy to review things you use every day in your own home (shampoo, face wash, make-up, blender, toaster, computer, etc.).  Your reviews do have to be 900 characters, but there is a little indicator at the top of the text box for the review which lets you know how you're doing.  They don't have a tracker to let you know you have officially qualified for the gift card, so you just have to be ultra-sure you're following the rules.  You'll get the gift code in your inbox about two weeks after the end of the promotional period!

Here are the rules as stated by Viewpoints:

Qualifying reviews must:
  • be written between January 20th and January 31st, 2011.
  • be at least 1 full paragraph long (900 characters).
  • fall within these categories:  Home & Garden, Family & Pets, Health & Beauty, Kitchen (excluding food and beverages), Computers and Electronics.
  • be about real products; inappropriate, copied or bogus content will be removed.

Amazon: Popular movies for only $5.99 shipped

If you recently obtained the FREE $5 credit to Amazon's Video-on-Demand, here's a great use for it:

Currently you can rent various movies through their VOD service (which will be free with the $5 credit you got from linking with Twitter) and receive a $4 credit to purchase a DVD or Blu-Ray of the same movie.  There are a couple current movies on sale for $9.99 making them only $5.99 after the $4 credit (the credit shows up after you've added the DVD to your cart and begin the checkout process).  If you've signed up for Amazon Mom and still have your free Amazon Prime, these DVD's will also ship for free.  My favorites:

- Toy Story 3 - Go here to rent and here to buy for $5.99!
- Inception - Go here to rent and here to buy for $5.99!
- The Tale of Despereaux - Go here to rent and here to buy for $4.49!

Go here to see all movies offering the $4 credit.

Amazon: $5 Credit for Video on Demand

Pardon my absence, but as you know, the deals haven't stopped, so I'll try my best to catch you up on the best deals of the past couple days, but I make no promises.

First up, if you use Twitter, Amazon is offering up a free $5 credit for Video-on-Demand (which gives you the option of renting movies to watch on-line or buying the digital version) if you link up your Twitter account with Amazon.  I'm not sure what they'll do with your Twitter account, but as I have an account I never use, I linked mine up just for the credit (and may discontinue the link in the near future).

Simply go here and follow their instructions to receive your free $5 credit.  Which you may want for a future deal.
