Coupons to Troops

Did you know military families posted overseas can use coupons on-base?  And they can use coupons up to six months past their expiration date!

I have heard before of organizations that collect coupons to send along to troops and have wanted to become involved but many of these have very specific clipping or sorting requirements - something I just don't have the time for.

This is why I was very excited today to hear of Coupons for Troops.  This organization is different because it connects you directly with a specific military family - your coupons go straight to this family and not to some general organization or base.  This means your coupons will get be used more quickly without the middle man.  Also, there are no sorting or clipping requirements.  Just send what you have: expired or non-expired, clipped or not (you can send the whole insert!).  Also, when shipping to military addresses overseas, the APO/FPO address allows us to pay domestic shipping charges - so if you're just sending a small envelope (or any size, really), it's no more than sending a letter within the US!   You can send just a few in a regular first-class envelope on a frequent basis or save some up and ship them altogether in a flat-rate box - the choice is up to you!

Also, don't be afraid of not having enough.  According to their FAQ's, each family is paired with more than one coupon donor, so it won't be entirely on your shoulders!

For more information, you can visit their website here!  If you're not sure you want to commit to adopting a family, I'll take extra coupons (and small shipping donations, if you can) to ship to whomever I adopt.
