If you find yourself with a little spare time here and there (I know, it's sometimes a laughable concept, but maybe, just maybe, you do), and don't mind taking on-line surveys, there are quite a few companies out there who compensate you for doing so. I have taken part in MANY of these, but the one I have had the most success with is Opinion Outpost.
If you have taken surveys in the past, you may have received many invitations and not qualified for a majority of them, wasting your time as you begin surveys you won't be paid to complete. My ratio of completed surveys to incomplete is much better through Opinion Outpost, meaning I have received far fewer for which I do not qualify - which is mainly attributed to their in-depth profile, which helps them weed out surveys for which you most likely will not qualify.
In addition, they are very clear about how long a survey will take and how many points you will be awarded - 10 points = $1. Thus, you may be asked to take a 25 minute survey for which they will reward you 20 points - or $2. This may not seem like the fastest way to make money - and it's not - but for doing nothing but sitting on your rear answering a few questions, it's not a bad way to earn a little extra spending money.
You can trade in your points for a check mailed directly to you, Amazon gift cards or even charitable donations, such as to the American Red Cross. In addition, when you do not qualify for a survey, you have the option of entering their sweepstakes or donating asking Opinion Outpost to donate $0.10 to the American Red Cross - they have donated over $160,000 thus far. Win-win :)
