Please pardon my absence of late, between family visiting and an out-of-town trip, I have not had as much time to focus on deal-searching. On top of which, I've discovered I'm suffering from a bit of coupon burn-out - so now I'm trying to strike a balance between getting the best deals for my family and weighing the cost of spending so much time (making multiple trips, etc.) trying to save one or two dollars.
I also feel a contributing factor to this burn-out is the grief I'm feeling for those in our country who are suffering the tragic effects of recent storms. Somehow snagging a free bottle of barbecue sauce doesn't feel so crucial when faced with those who have lost everything. On a similar note, however, I am feeling challenged to share my stockpile in every way possible with those who need it. If you're in a similar boat, I urge you to check out Tabitha's Mission - a blog started by a friend of mine who lists the best free (or close-to) deals for use as donations to those in need. Likewise, if you know of a way to give or a place to donate - particularly to those ravaged by storms in the past weeks - please post a comment so we can all be aware!
So, thanks for sticking with me. I'll be back soon to share this week's Homeland deals - for those of you still out there!
