Chik-Fil-A "Buy-Cott"

Re-posted via Simple Saving Savvy:

Chik-fil-A is known for more than just great chicken.
Chick-fil-A founder S. Truett Cathy built a 1500-restaurant chain on his “personal and business philosophy based on biblical principles.” This is the reason why:
  • Chick-fil-A plays Christian music in its restaurants…exclusively.
  • Chick-fil-A closes all its locations on Sunday…no exceptions.
  • Mr. Cathy used his business success to first start a scholarship program, and later a retreat center both of which go by the name “WinShape” to reflect their goal of shaping/winning students, business people, and traditional marriages.
  • Chick-fil-A’s stated corporate purpose is: 1) To glorify God by being a faithful steward of all that is entrusted to us; and 2) To have a positive influence on all who come in contact with Chick-fil-A.
Recently, Chik-fil-A has come under great persecution.
In February, a Chick-fil-A restaurant in Pennsylvania donated some sandwiches and brownies to a marriage seminar hosted by the Pennsylvania Family Institute. Because the seminar promoted marriage as between one man and one woman, pro-homosexual activists launched an all-out attack on Chick-fil-A.
Some started calling the company’s main product “Jesus Chicken,” while others mocked and belittled the company’s “Not Open on Sunday” policy. They even smeared company employees, calling them “anti-gay.”
That’s why you’re being encouraged to “BUYCOTT” a Chik-fil-A restaurant during the week of April 24 – 30. Simple visit your favorite (or any) Chik-fil-A restaurant, order your lunch and thank them for standing on Christian principles. You can even print thank you cards HERE.
One of the purposes of the body of Christ is to edify one another. This will be a simple but meaningful way to do that. Let’s all encourage Chik-fil-A during their time of persecution.
