This isn't exactly the type of content for which I generally reserve this blog, but I have promised to share with you great finds that I'm excited about - so while this isn't exactly a "deal", it's worth mentioning.
About a month ago I found a blog that I honestly believe is changing my life. I know that's a cliché phrase used in today's culture for everything from the right scarf to an amazing latté, but when I say that about this blog, I'm not kidding. God is literally using the words of this author to change my life.
Though I subscribe to quite a number of blogs via Google Reader, hes is the only delivered directly to my inbox every morning - a daily breath of holiness spoken to my soul.
And when I discovered the author was releasing a book and I read the excerpt included on her blog, I wanted to hold that book close to my heart and soak in every word offered on those pages. Yet, I held back - we know I'm a frugal girl and a book costs money.
So, then when I found out this woman (whom I have never met but have been following via the internet since nearly the beginning of her story) had chosen this book as her next book club selection (whose first selection was a little book called Crazy Love - one I read months after I first heard her mention it but made me realize, her choice in literature was most definitely to be trusted) - this was finally my chance to purchase this longed-for volume and finally jump into an on-line book club (something I've never done), if only to see videos of this beloved author sharing her heart about the book she has written herself.
I cashed in some amazon gift cards, purchased the book and cannot wait to begin reading it alongside long-distant sisters in Christ. If you, as my short-distant sisters in Christ, are interested in joining in, I would love to have you.
