Today's Groupon for Santa Cruz, CA is $20 for $60 worth of product from Blurb. The fine print on this one states that the entire Groupon must be used in one transaction. A 20-40 page 8x10 hardcover book from Blurb is $29.95 - so $60 will buy you two books and the shipping is a flat $6.99 for 1-3 books. Why I consider this a good deal is because most photobook sites start pricing at $30 for a 20-page book and charge as much as $1.99 per page (so a 40-page book is $70!) - thus, paying the flat $29.95 for anywhere from 20-40 pages sound great! Especially since I like longer books!
So, I'm giving it a try. Here's what to do if you want to take Blurb for a spin:
1. Go to Groupon and log-in or register.
2. Click on your city (with an arrow next to it) near the top of the page. Click on "C" (for California) and find "Santa Cruz."
3. Click on "Buy"!
4. You'll be able to find your Groupon coupon in your account and use it starting tomorrow- but hurry! It expires Feb 8, 2011!
