Barnes & Noble - FREE Membership Trial and $5 off $10 Toys

Currently, you can sign up for a trial membership to Barnes & Noble here.  Here is some more information on that program:

What are the perks of being a Barnes & Noble member?

* Everyday Member Discount of 40% off the list price of the current hardcover Barnes & Noble Store Bestsellers (this applies to the 10 fiction hardcover bestsellers and 10 non-fiction hardcover bestsellers based on sales at Barnes & Noble Stores and designated by Barnes & Noble from time to time).
* 20% off the list price of all Barnes & Noble designated adult hardcover books.
* 10% off the marked Barnes & Noble sale price of other eligible items.
* FREE Express Shipping for orders made at www.BN.com and on Ship-to-Home orders placed at Barnes & Noble retail stores
* Periodic special promotions at Barnes & Noble Stores and online at www.bn.com.

How do I snag the FREE 2 month membership?

* Head over here to register for your free trial. Keep in mind that the FREE  two-month Membership is for new members only who have not previously enrolled in Membership.
* You will need to provide your credit card information to sign up for this free membership. Prior to the 2 month membership period ending, you can cancel the membership at any time and your credit card will NOT be charged. You can cancel by calling Member Services at 866-238-READ, sending an email to membership@barnesandnoble(dot)com, or by logging into your membership account. If you do not choose to cancel the membership within the free 2 month period, your credit card will be charged $25 upon expiration of the free 2 month membership.

Personally, I'm excited about the free shipping and I set an e-mail reminder using Google Calendar so I won't forget to cancel before my 2 months are up.

Now, in order to activate your FREE trial, you have to make a purchase.  Conveniently enough they are currently running a sale in their toy department for $5 off any $10 purchase of qualifying toys (discount will appear after item is placed in your cart).  How exciting if you're planning for Christmas already - which is a great idea because if you start working now, you can have Christmas gifts done and paid for by Thanksgiving - and save a LOT of money doing so, also!  Just be sure you know who will be receiving any gift before you purchase and that you know where it's coming from in your budget.  It's not a good deal if it will sit in your closet for years waiting to figure out who to give it to, or if it completely ruins your budget.

Barnes and Noble has a great selection of Melissa & Doug toys - my favorites!  So, check them out and see if you can find any great deals for yourself!  This Dress-Up Fireman is only $7.95 - and since you're signing up for the free trial, shipping is FREE:

I found this deal on Hip2Save.
